Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a family of four – a mother, father, and two young children. Every day, the family would go to the nearby market to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. One day, the mother noticed a basket of juicy–looking grapes and decided to buy it for her children. She was sure that the children would love it. When the children tried the grapes, their faces went sour. They spat out the grapes and asked why were they so sour.
The mother was confused too. She took a few grapes and tasted them. To her surprise, the grapes were sour. The mother asked the vendor what had happened to the grapes. The vendor told her that he had recently sprayed the grapes with a chemical that made them sour. The mother was angry. She asked why he had done this, and the vendor replied that he had done it to keep the birds away from his grapes. The mother told the vendor that this was cruel, and that he should not have done it. She then apologized to her children and promised to get them some sweet grapes the next time. The children were sad, but understanding. They thanked their mother for understanding and promised to be more careful when buying fruits and vegetables.
From then on, the family made sure to always taste the fruits and vegetables they bought, before they ate them. The moral of the story is that even if something looks good, it may not be what it seems. We should always be careful when buying food and test it before we eat it.
