The foolish crow and a clever fox
Once upon a time, there lived a foolish crow and a clever fox in a forest. The two were always competing with each other as they were always trying to outsmart each other.
One day, the crow saw a piece of cheese on the ground and wanted to eat it. But the fox was watching him, so he thought of a plan. He started to pretend that he was hurt and started to cry loudly. The fox thought that the crow was faking it and started laughing. The crow then said, “If you can get this cheese up in the tree, I will be impressed and stop crying”. The fox thought that this was an easy task and agreed.
The fox then started to jump from one branch to another, trying to get the cheese.
But the crow had planned this and knew that the fox wouldn’t be able to reach it. The crow then flew up to the tree and easily got the cheese.
The fox was embarrassed and started to go back home. But the crow stopped him and said, “You should know that I am always smarter than you. You should never underestimate me”. The fox was embarrassed and went back home with his tail between his legs.
The crow then flew away with the cheese, feeling proud of himself. He knew that he had outsmarted the fox once again and that he was always the smartest one.
The moral of the story is that it is always important to be smart and think before you act. One should never underestimate anyone, no matter how foolish they may seem.
