A thirsty crow
Once upon a time, there was a thirsty crow living in a small village. The crow had been searching for water for days. He had been flying around the village and the surrounding areas but to no avail. He was exhausted and desperate for a drink. One day, the crow flew over a farm and noticed a clay pot filled with water.
The pot was on the ground and looked so inviting. The crow flew down and peered inside, but the water was too far down for him to reach. He hopped around the pot, trying to figure out how he could get to the water. Suddenly, he had an idea. He started collecting stones from the nearby field and dropping them into the pot. He kept doing this until the stones filled the pot enough for the water level to rise and he could drink. The crow was so delighted, he thanked the heavens for his good luck and drank his fill. As he flew away, he wondered if he could do something similar the next time he was thirsty. The crow’s story spread around the village and soon everyone knew about it.
Whenever anyone was thirsty, they would drop stones into a pot and wait for the water level to rise so they could drink. The story of the thirsty crow soon became a legend in the village, and even to this day, people still remember the crow and his ingenious solution to quench his thirst.
