What about you? It is a pretty long time since you do not send a text to me. You know that I love trees very much. Recently I visited the annual tree fair of Bangladesh- “Brikkho Mela”. I want to share my experience with you.
The venue was on the national parade ground field in Agargaon. I along with my few friends visited the fair on the day before yesterday. The fair was a heaven of trees and nature enthusiasts. The main attraction of the fair was trees, from tiny to big. I saw large varieties of trees at the fair. About 700 species of forest-grown, ornamental, fruit-bearing, and medicinal plants are available at the fair. Most of the trees are local and the rests were foreign. All the trees were arranged nicely in accordance with their nature. The fruit-bearing saplings like banana, guava, star apple, tamarind, grape, strawberry mango, blackberry, carambola, wood apple, jackfruit, and date sapling were arranged in a row. The medicinal plants like ulatchandal, kalomegh, basok, harvhanga, neem, bohera, patharkuchi, haritaki, amlaki, arahar, arjun and ghreetokumari were arranged in a different row. Some vulnerable and endangered local trees were also on display at the stalls of the National Botanical Garden and Baldha Garden.
I have bought several medicinal plants for my garden. You are cordially invited to touch those beautiful trees. No more, today. My best regards to your parents.
